I have known Yann for many years. When he worked at the Pitie-Salpetriere hospital in Paris, France he was our technical advisor on a series of video presentations made for international travelers entitled "Tropics Without Worries". His expert opinion on tropical diseases proved very useful.
Later, for me and on behalf of Schlumberger he provided services as Resident Physician on the Schlumberger camp in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria and for Spie-Batignolles in the same city. In these capacities Yann also pioneered the first registration in Nigeria of French MDs in a private clinic established by Service Medical International.
Subsequently, on behalf of EDF Yann was Resident Physician in Shenzhen, and on their camp in Daya Bay, China. At the head of clinics Yann’s performance was outstanding in every aspect: clinical care (particularly emergency situations and medevacs), medical education (in English and French), administrative work (especially quality and safety, and stat gathering and analysis), business development, and P. R. tasks.
Moreover, Yann conducted surveys in these settings as well as on Shell Co. oil rigs in the Bay of Benin. All his assessments and recommendations were thorough, pertinent, and productive. Afterward, Yann performed the feasibility study of a hospital in Luanda for several oil companies in Angola and Congo (including Conoco, Total, Agip, and Petrobras). His impressive international experience and expertise in healthcare were and still are instrumental in the production of top-notch reports. 
More recently, as the CEO and owner of the AVS/Air France Clinic and Vaccination Center in Paris, France I hired Yann to get us ready before an audit by a multinational company for an important potential contract. He reviewed the operation and provided comprehensive and insightful advice that led to significant improvement and enhanced its presentation. As a result, we were selected for the final round. Lately, Yann helped prepare our ultimate bid and his input was invaluable.
It is always an honor and a pleasure to work with Yann. He brings cutting-edge, state-of-the-art knowledge, and know-how to the table in a relaxed atmosphere. I cannot stress enough the value-added assets Yann provides to his customers.

I met Yann first in the early 90’s when I had the delight and privilege of replacing him at his general clinical practice in Lifou (French - New Caledonia). Yann is a unique physician that you rarely come across. He is not only a very competent physician (general practice, tropical disease & public health), but he also has this warm ethical “entrepreneurship” spirit, always looking at opportunities to improve the care for his patients. At the time, he was the sole physician in private practice on Lifou Island and I recall the look of surprise in the eyes of the locals when stepping into his impeccably clean and well organized clinic in this remote part of the pacific islands. It was a busy and successful practice.

Another trait of Yann’s personality is his passion for taking calmly new challenges and carrying out an initiative or project methodically until its full completion, before moving on.
I had the pleasure meeting him again 10 years later in Singapore. He was the first known French physician working in private practice at Gleneagles hospital then at AsiaMedic. This new Singapore working environment was complex and it could not have been more different than Lifou island, yet he established again over a year a very successful quality practice servicing Singaporeans and the French community. He had not lost his dynamism and enthusiasm making him a “medical pioneer” in his own rights.

Yann is a health professional with multifaceted talents, able to demonstrate outstanding achievements where most of us would consider the same challenge just “too hard” to tackle. He is well respected by his patients and his peers. He is someone simply out of the ordinary who is highly recommended.

I had the great pleasure to work with Yann on a number of health promotion and prevention initiatives at Stanford University. Yann is an innovative thinker and strategist. His extensive background and experience in the fields of public health and health prevention enabled him to facilitate a collaborative effort among key internal and external stakeholders, which was crucial to the development of our successful programs and positive outcomes.
